Description:

Electronic Assistant Lite 3.0 is a freeware information manager. The information is managed in 4 main modules. These modules include Organizer, Journal, Collections, and ToDo.


Installation (not upgrading):
-------------
To install Electronic Assistant, you will need to have winzip installed on your computer. 

Double-click on the file EA30Lite.zip.
Winzip will display the contents of EA30Lite.zip
Click install from the winzip menu to install Electronic Assistant 

Or

Extract the files to a temporary directory and double-click on the file Setup.exe in
that directory to install Electronic Assistant.  


Upgrading to EA Lite 3.0
------------------------
Before upgrading to EA Lite 3.0 backup your data by copying the files in your data directory to a new directory before uninstalling it. After backing up your data, uninstall your version of EA using the Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs. Then, install EA Lite 3.0 (see above).

For example:

If you are using EA 1.0, 1.0a, or 1.0b
	1. Start Windows Explorer
	2. Navigate to the EA 1.0 directory
	   the default location is at c:\Program Files\Dante' Productions\Electronic Assistant\
	4. Create a new directory called "MyEAData" [without the quotes.]
	5. Copy the files in the EA 1.0 data directory to "MyEAData".
	   the default location is at c:\Program Files\Dante' Productions\Electronic Assistant\Data\
	6. Uninstall EA 1.0 using the control panel
	7. Install EA Lite 3.0 (see above)
	8. Use the Options module to import all your EA 1.0 records. 

			OR

    	1. Install EA Lite 2.1 (see above)
    	2. Use the Options module to import all your EA 1.0 records. 
    	3. Verify that EA Lite 2.1 imported your data 
    	4. Uninstall EA 1.0 using the control panel 


If you are using EA 2.0 or 2.1 (these includes 2.0a, 2.1a, 2.1b, 2.1x, 2.5, etc)
	1. Start Electronic Assistant
	2. Select the Backup button and backup your data
           (See your version of EA's Help File for help on backup)
	6. Uninstall EA 2.x using the control panel
	7. Install EA Lite 3.0 (see above)
	8. Use the Options module to import all your EA 2.x records. 



Don't forget to register EA Lite after installation. This is not required.


UnInstallation
------------
To uninstall the program, use the Add/Remove Programs icon in the Windows Control Panel.
